Week 28
At this point the uterus is well above the navel pushing against the rib cage and as a result Johannie feels sometimes short of breath. Sleeping is sometimes a bit difficult as the baby continues to grow, and supporting the tummy at night with an extra pillow helps.
At this stage Anoushka is now a well formed mini human and if born today would have a 95% chance of survival even though their organs are still immature. We notice that the baby picks her moments to be active - from tossing and turning to idle moments of sleep. According to research, baby's brain waves show rapid eye movement (REM) in sleep - which means that Anoushka maybe able to dream at this stage. However her peaceful moments of sleep don't generally mirror that of Johannie's - so we look forward to a budding trapeze artiste at night.

Johannie & Baby in Germany for a few days...
Week 27 - on the plane...
Johannie is steadily putting on weight and this will continue till delivery, we're told.
According to the experts, Baby's brain is going through a rapid developmental stage - with the areas responsible for intellect and perception becoming organised.
Baby will now be able to calm herself by simply sucking their thumb. Unbeknownst to babies this comforting habit also strengthens their jaw and cheek muscles.
Funny, I didn't suck my thumb :-)

Volvo XC90
I kind of liked these set of wheels, better than the pink ones...
Anywany, Volvo has apparently developed the world’s first pregnant crash test dummy model so its experts can learn more about the impacts of the seat belt and airbag on a mother an unborn baby in car accidents. The crash test dummy, named “Linda” by the experts at Volvo’s Safety Centre in Sweden, helps Volvo study how the seat belt moves and its combined influence with the airbag on the uterus, placenta and baby, as well has how the baby moves in relation to Linda’s body.

Week 26 !
At this stage the baby is decidedly less prune like as their protective fat continues to thickening the skin making it less transparent and human like.
Weighs almost 800gs and is about 33cm long.
